<UIKey> stands for Universal Identification Key. A
<UIKey> key is guaranteed to be unique. This unique
key can be linked to a URL.
Any individual, any company, any organization, any body can
register a <UIKey> key. By using <UIKey> and
by mentioning the key registered, the URL associated with
the key can be retrieved.
How does it work?
- <UIKey> works on the
first in, first served
principle
- Register yourself (individual, company, organization,
body) (e.g. your name will be a <UIKey> key). Your
email must be given for authentication. A URL can
be mentioned but it must not.
- An email will be sent for confirmation. You must respond to the email
to activate your personal key.
- As soon as you have activated your key, you can now
register additional keys without any more confirmation.
Any other category than
'Individual', 'Company', 'Organization', 'Body' requires
that you enter your personal key in the
Owner
field.
- After a successful registration you will be able to
follow your key with the following URL:
http://www.uikey.org/?whatis=<your key>.
Example : http://www.uikey.org/?whatis=Lato Sensu
